DIY Carrot Wall Hanger
I love trying new crafts when a new season comes around. I found this DIY Carrot Wall Hanger craft when the Dollar Tree had carrot wreath hangers for sale and it was super cute and inexpensive craft to make as decor and gifts for Easter and spring. I was able to make 7 very inexpensively and sell 6 for a profit.
Plus, the one I kept was a perfect addition to our holiday decor.
Supplies for Carrot Wall Hanger*
- Orange deco mesh or Orange burlap ribbon - I used deco mesh
- Artificial greenery, ferns, boxwood, ficus or herb spring pick
- carrot wreath form, witch hat wreath form, or bent clothes hanger
- pipe cleaner or zip ties
-
ribbon for bow - I used carrot themed ribbon, but use whatever matches your decor
*check Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, Walmart or Amazon for best prices depending on availability and region.
**I tend to buy supplies I use often like wreath forms and ribbon on sale at the end of the season to save for the next year. I also use coupons and rewards, so I rarely pay full price for my craft supplies. Keeping costs low keeps prices low and passes savings on to customers!
Wrap Frame with Orange Deco Mesh or Burlap
Start at the tip of the carrot on the back and secure the Deco Mesh or Burlap with a pipe cleaner. Wrap the Carrot from front to back with Deco Mesh or Burlap until it reaches the top of the carrot.
Fold the Deco Mesh or Burlap over the top of the carrot and secure with a pipe cleaner.
Attach Greenery
To create the look of a carrot top secure greenery along the top using pipe cleaners.
Secure a Bow
The final step is to create a bow and attach it to the top of the carrot wreath with pipe cleaners and add a hanger to the back of the wire frame.
Add hot glue to any areas that seem lose and to lock the pipe cleaners in place.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy Easter!
